About Ralph Sands

Ralph Sands has worked 46 years for K&L Wine Merchants and is the Senior Wine Specialist making 62 visits to his beloved Bordeaux. Ralph has tasted over 160,000 wines and has conducted tasting seminars in over 25 states here in America, as well as in France, Spain, Hong Kong, Mainland China and Taiwan. While working 40+ hours a week Ralph started his once a year “Taste the Greats of Bordeaux Tour” in 1997, and has since escorted over 350 customers to Bordeaux. Now semi-retired Ralph will conduct his first “Taste the Greats of Champagne Tour” this December. While Ralph does not answer the phone at K&L any longer he can be found most weekends pouring the top categories of wine in the Redwood City location, staying sharp and in touch with his longtime customers.
